What a Fantastic Event!!
The Whiteville Rotary Club held its first CARDBOARD BOAT RACE Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Lake Waccamaw Sailing Club. It was truly a FUN day for all. The large crowd attending witnessed that most of the boats, made of cardboard,
actually finished the course (yes -
some did sink). The competition was awesome. Everyone enjoyed the food, fun, and fellowship.
We thank all who built the boats and participated in the races, making the event
successful, and helping us raise funds to support many worthy organizations in our community.
